Christmas comes to Newfield

Well December is here, the tree is up, there are twinkling lights, tinsel and baubles everywhere… it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Newfield!!

We are looking forward to lots of visitors coming to our Christmas Fair on Friday 2nd December from 10am - 11.30am - there will be lots to buy and Father Christmas has promised to come, along with the BwD Mayor.

Today, Buddy the Elf suddenly arrived and was found to be hanging about in the nurse’s room, checking that school was ready for Father Christmas’s visit tomorrow. We believe he is visiting from the North Pole on behalf of the National Elf Service!

Buddy went all over school with Cate and June from the nursing team on their daily rounds to make sure everyone is well!

We are pleased to report that he was satisfied with his findings and confirmed he will report back to Father Christmas that we are ready for him…

Buddy will be popping up all over Newfield over the next 2 weeks to be sure that everyone is being good - the first child to find him each day and tell Deputy Head Jenny where he is will win a small prize!

Look out for him if you visit tomorrow and we will continue to report on his Elf Antics!
