Children in Need 2022

Today we joined the nation to celebrate Children and Need and raise money for disadvantaged children.

We always enjoy taking part in this very important day… especially because we are able to welcome Pudsey into school, which causes a lot of excitement.

In the morning we had activities going on in the hall where children could explore Pudsey themed sensory activities and we we thrilled that Pudsey himself was there to join in the fun! There were lots of spotty things, yellow things to play with and yellow jelly and rice hiding Pudsey’s for children to find! There was also a photo booth.

The kitchen team had made Pudsey (cheese!) pie for the children’s lunch and Pudsey biscuits for pudding.

Staff and children had dressed in spotty and puddly themed clothes and paid £1 for this, as well as taking part in a raffle with some great prizes and some staff buying a special lunch served by the SLT to raise even more money!

Later in the day, Pudsey visited classes and then joined in the afternoon assemblies - it was absolutely lovely to see the reactions of our wonderful children.

We would like to thank the fantastic Community Champion from Asda Blackburn, Lynne Kozlowski, who brought Pudsey from ASDA up to school and donated some cakes for us to sell to raise more money for the charity.

Everyone had a really good day, thinking about how we can help other people and have fun together at the same time.

Thanks to everyone involved, particularly teacher Carly who organised the events in school - in total in school we raised £161.56 and we’re sure many of you paid online in addition to that - well done!
