Street Food Festival

Students in the post 16 phase of school - TG3 and TG4 - collaborated to put together a mini street market this morning.

It was a successful, sensory, tongue tingling morning tasting foods from Asia.

The students have been working hard over the last few weeks on their ASDAN qualification, preparing food for an event.

Students have researched which foods to make, planned out their recipes, cooked, learned how to store food safely, made a guest list and designed and delivered the invitations.

There were a range of foods to taste, from Thai mango mouse, chapatti’s, dahl, lassi and a range of dips and sauces. There were even recipe books to buy to try to recreate the foods at home!

Everyone really enjoyed seeing the staff dressing up in traditional asian clothes as well as tasting the flavours and soaking up the street food atmosphere!
