Today we were delighted to have our wonderful Pets As Therapy dog Baxter, along with Julie, in school to visit for the first time this year.
He was very happy to see the children and spend time with them.
In class 4 children stroked him, cuddled him, fed him healthy snacks and even took him for a walk on the lead - helping them to learn about how we can care for an animal.
Baxter then moved on to S2 who were in the hall for a MOVE session.
There were lots of very happy faces as he joined the children who had come out of their wheelchairs to exercise on the mats and they enjoyed stroking his soft fur and spending time with him very close to them.
It was brilliant to have him in school and we can’t wait to see him and Julie again next week.
