Return to School 2022

We have been delighted to welcome all of our fabulous children back to Newfield this week. All of them came into school with great big smiles on their faces on Monday and have been meeting new friends, and new staff, in new classes.

The children new to the secondary department in SEND, S1, have enjoyed a dough disco session and painted self portraits for our class corridor display board as part of getting to know each other.

Our older pupils, the new TG1 in post 16 took their first trip out as a group to Heron foods to buy ingredients for their theme “Asia” - a fab time was had by all.

On their return, they used the ingredients they had bought to learn how to make spring rolls - preparation for European day of languages later this month!

S4 have also had a good first week. They have enjoyed playing games together and getting used to their new classroom. Yesterday they made pizzas and ate them for break and today, they all enjoyed a relaxing yoga session in the morning - everyone worked hard and did some fantastic stretching.

We’ve all had a great week and a very happy return to school!
