RRSA - Kenya Link 2022

Children and staff from the Rights Respecting School Award steering group have continued to fund raise for Kenya.

They held a book tombola to raise funds for the Kings Highway orphanage and school in Kenya that we support, via the Love for Kenya charity.

The book tombola is so popular that it has taken place twice this year already, with everyone winning a prize of a selection of books, and we have raised £108 for Kenya to buy the things they need. They have recently bought books, sports equipment and crops.

The staff and pupils from Kenya sent us some photographs and the following message:

‘The books we were waiting for have finally arrived and both the teachers and learners are excited. They now have no excuse for not putting their best in terms of acquiring proper education. We want to appreciate and give our heartfelt thanks to all who worked towards raising funds for the books, especially St James School and Newfield. Thanks also for the sports kit. It has enhanced our extracurricular’
