Sports Week 22

This week we have been celebrating Sports Week here at Newfield, with lots of activities all over school and out in the community encouraging everyone to try new physical activities and sports.

Over the 3 days we have had MOVE, football and hand football tournaments, seated volleyball, yoga and sports day races including an obstacle course, egg and spoon race, bean bag toss and relay races. Pupils who use the hydro pool have even been racing in there!

We all made sure that we kept the children’s MOVE and physical targets in mind when attending the sessions, and used their equipment to promote independence.

Lots of classes came together and joined in sports day activities, with pupils from both areas of school enjoying spending time with their friends.

They joined in the warm up activity and competed in obstacle races, egg and spoon races - even the staff joined in and everyone had fun.
