Duke of Edinburgh - Autism Expedition Day 2

Everyone who took part in the first day of the expedition arrived at school very excited and raring to go on our second day of walking!

On day two of the bronze Duke of Edinburgh expedition, our autism pupils continued their journey from Stubbins, Ramsbottom up to Helmshore.

Pupils found different landmarks along the way that they will use in their D of E scrapbooks - walking, using there map reading skills and even having a go at cooking in the wild.

We made great progress setting up a tarp, doing this independently as a team today for lunch, where we could then relax, chill and eat after a hard morning walking.

The weather was mostly nice, some sunshine, and of course a few rainy showers!

When we reached the bus at the end there were great celebrations.

What an achievement! We are so proud of you all.
