Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee - Newfield Street Party

Today we are celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee - 70 years as our Queen - 1952 - 2022.

Pupils and staff have attended school in their party clothes and everyone has been working hard to prepare a fun day of celebratory activities, centred around our street party lunch. We had planned to do this outside in the sunshine, but due to the cold weather, we held 2 parties in the School for Autism and SEND school buildings.

Preparations have been underway for weeks, with decorations being made in classes to make the event look extra special, and there was a great atmosphere in both venues, with bunting, flags, placemats and table settings fit for a queen!

To enhance the special occasion our kitchen has created a fantastic party menu which was served which all of the children enjoyed.

Staff, along with children, were treated to a range of fancy cakes and special biscuits, made especially by our fantastic catering team - thanks to them for everything!

We finished the party off with the famous Newfield Disco and everyone danced and celebrated the Queen’s 70th Jubilee in style… ready for a week long holiday.
