Planting, Parks and Preparing for the Jubilee!

A few weeks ago, governor Fiona and former staff member and friend of Newfield June kindly came in one evening and prepared the marked out ‘N’ that we’ve created for the wildflowers to grow in our grounds, so that the pupils can start planting / throwing the seed bombs on to get going!

This week, TG1 enjoyed a sunny day planting their seed bombs in the ‘N’ - we can’t wait to see the colourful display.

Pupils have also had a lovely afternoon in Witton Park and had a nice walk around seeing what we could spot.

All over school classes are learning about Great Britain and are doing activities preparing for a grand street party to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee. Some children have been making jam tarts to enjoy at the party, as well as making and decorating bunting to decorate our festivities.
