Den Building

We have been making use of our outside spaces by den building this week. It was a bit cold, but everyone wrapped up warm, put on their wellies and got stuck in.

Pupils within the School For Autism have been taking part as their opening activity to this half terms theme - ‘My Community’.

The Focus was team building. The Pupils had to work together to create their own outdoor den, taking it in turns to place sticks together to build a den that they could sit in.

The pupils all worked extremely well, and they also enjoyed constructing a ball run as a team and then working together to keep a parachute up.

They collected twigs and branches to build dens, put down sheeting to keep the wet floor away from them and then got cosy inside their dens.

All of the pupils took part and most of the pupils sat inside their dens.
