Children in Need 2021

An annual favourite, today we join the nation in raising money for this very worthy charity to help children - Children in Need Day 2021. Everyone has come in dressed in pudsey themed clothing or spotty clothes and it is a bright, cheerful spectacle across school!

We have had pudsey pie for lunch, and had a visit from the big man himself, who visited school for SEND and Autism, as well as a quick trip over to our Shadsworth provision!

We had a ‘design a CiN bandana’ competition - judged by our deputies Vicki and Jenny. They were very impressed with all of your amazing artwork displayed in the halls. We could see that a lot of effort has been made! It was a difficult decision but in Autism, Vicki decided that the overall winner was A7, with A5 a close second. In SEND Jenny chose the overall winner was Abdullah from S3 - that class had actually printed on fabric and made bandanas! - with Class 1’s collage in second place. Each winner received a sensory box pf toys to share in class - well done!

We were also joined by friend to the school Julie and Baxter the Pets As Therapy dog - who was dressed to impressed and visited all the classes.

In the afternoon we have a disco in SEND and in Autism we have a sensory box gallery exhibition!

Lots of money raised and lots of fun had after a very busy week… enjoy pudsey on TV tonight and have a good weekend!
