Busy Bees and other Creatures...

In the school for SEND, our theme this hall term has been ‘In the Garden’.

Over the last few weeks S3 have been learning about all the things we might find in our gardens from bees, butterflies, snails, slugs, leaves, flowers, trees to spiders. Teacher Tracy has created an amazing immersive garden within the classroom and S3 are having a buzzing time in class!

They have been learning about bees, flowers, nectar and honey and have had hands on experience in the multi sensory environment.

This week they have focused on spiders and have had a few hairy visitors in the classroom!

they even have some pet snails… very well cared for and soon to be realised back into the wild!
