Harvest 2021

This week, pupils at Newfield school have been celebrating Harvest.

Pupils have been learning about our small contributions to the wider world that when combined make a big difference. In our various assemblies, led by teacher Greg Sharples, we celebrated through song and dance and had our very own Harvest Scarecrow, Mick - he’s the one without the pink ukulele in the photo!

Children enjoyed bringing up their food donations and placing them into the baskets. Together we have not only made a substantial collection of tinned, dried store cupboard food items for the Blackburn Foodbank but we have also raised over £40 for the Love Kenya appeal.

We would like to thank you all for your contributions.

Please don’t forget that we have Foodbank Collection points in school all year round and are happy to receive donations to support the cause.
