April- Autism Awareness Month

April is traditionally Autism Awareness month. As we approach the end of the month I thought I would share this article from BBC Newsround. It shares different stories from people with autism and how it affects them in different ways, including stories from celebrities on the spectrum. It takes a look at what it is like to live with autism and how you can help somebody with autism to feel calm and included. Autism Awareness month has recently been in the news, there is a push to change this title to Autism Acceptance Month. Although this article doesn’t talk about this specifically, it certainly promotes acceptance and is a great read.
