Pizza Donation

We are fortunate to have been given a donation from Morrison’s Supermarket in Blackburn of some pizza kits which children in school were very happy to see and take home to cook with families.

The company had an incentive running during half term to support families and the community champion for the Blackburn store, Ryan, agreed that we could collect the pizzas today, as school was closed last week for half term. Morrisons gave away 60,000 pizza making kits to help fight child hunger all over the country.

The kits contain a pizza base, cheese, vegetables including peppers and sweetcorn as well as tomato sauce.

The kits also contain a recipe card with cooking instructions and details of a competition that families can enter to be in with the chance of winning £100 Morrisons vouchers. All they have to do is post a picture of their pizza tagging Morrisons on instagram and include the hashtag #PizzaKitWin.

HLTA Sharon did a brilliant job going to Morrison’s to collect the pizza kits - there was a lot to carry back - look at all those boxes!

Sadly there were not enough for everyone this time - but we are sure the children will enjoy them.

Thank you very much to Morrisons for the very kind donation.
