Sharing at Christmas

We all know that the Newfield Family likes to support others and at this special time of year, we wanted to remind our children and staff that Christmas is a time to share our good fortune with others.

Today, HLTAs Linsey and Sharon took down some food to Blackburn Foodbank to help families who may be in need. The staff there collected the groceries and were very grateful.

The HLTAs also took some cards that the children had made in classes over to the old folks home, Queens Lodge.

Our RRSA steering group have had a long term link with the residents at the home and have often been to spend time, play games, sing songs and share a cake and a cuppa.

Unfortunately because of COVID and lockdown we have not been able to visit this year, but they were very happy to receive the cards which will brighten up the room for the residents and remind them that we are thinking of them.

Thanks to all the staff who contributed to the car load of groceries for the food bank, the children for the lovely cards and our fantastic HLTAs for helping spread some love and Christmas cheer to help the people of Blackburn!
