Today we celebrated Christmas Jumper day - by wearing all manner of Christmas jumpers - we had elves, cute jumpers, garish jumpers, bells, holly, hats, lights, fancy headpieces - all kinds of festive attire all over school. Some people even had light up necklaces!
The children had a delicious traditional Christmas lunch, in their classrooms, of roast turkey with all the trimmings prepared by our fabulous catering team - what a treat!
The festive season is now in full swing and children have been preparing exciting things to share with parents, in place of the usual nativity and concerts in school.
Next week we have a virtual Carol Concert, class parties and we are expecting a socially distanced, virtual visit from Father Christmas into each class - and he says if it isn’t raining, he’ll walk round the grounds and wave through the windows before he sets off on his sleigh…
It’s a different Christmas than usual, but COVID won’t stop Newfield from celebrating!
