MOVE Accreditation

We are delighted to announce that Newfield has been successful in achieving GOLD status of the MOVE programme for outstanding MOVE (Movement Opportunities Via Education) provision.

Today we had a virtual online accreditation visit from Charlotte Peck where she met with Louise and Aimie, our MOVE leaders, as well as other staff, parents, governors and senior leaders in school to discuss how we implement the MOVE programme to support children to develop their physical skills.

Charlotte was very impressed with the work that goes on, particularly the support and continued advancement of the school’s work in this area during these strange COVID times! She highlighted the passion and dedication for the development of functional mobility for all pupils, the amazing case studies presented and the testimonials received from therapists and parents which demonstrated the value of the continued input and support from Aimie and Louise over many years.

Thank you to everyone for your contribution to the preparation of this assessment and your ongoing commitment to the programme within school and thanks also to everyone that attended the assessment today providing the assessor with information about your own involvement with MOVE and how we work together to secure positive outcomes for pupils.

We are very pleased to have this recognition and look forward to reading, and sharing with you, the full report when it arrives.
