Today we celebrate our fantastic support staff on National Teaching Assistant Day. We actually give our support staff an extra special title - Education Health and Care Assistants - EHCAs, because at Newfield they do so much more than just support teaching - which is what makes them so wonderful!
Sadly we were not able to have the big party we would have liked to, but classes made ‘shout outs’ for each of the EHCAs telling them how much we value them and what makes them so brilliant - these are shared on the wellbeing boards in our staff lounges as you can see below.
At lunchtime, they all had a little surprised - a COVID safe, individually wrapped little cake - a token of our huge appreciation for everything that they do all year round.
