Wellbeing Award for Schools Assessment Visit

On Thursday and Friday this week, in spite of being in lockdown, we were able to have our assessment for the Wellbeing Award for Schools, by meeting with assessor Dr. Helen Mills in a series of virtual meetings. Some staff, our Wellbeing Warriors, some parents, governors & friends, one of our pupils and even some colleagues from health and social care were all able to talk to Helen about wellbeing at Newfield - even Baxter had his say!

We are delighted to say that Helen was very impressed with what she was told, what she saw in a special wellbeing tour of school and on the website, along with the huge amount of evidence submitted and she has told us that we have been successful in achieving the award.

As you all know, we take the wellbeing of all members of the Newfield Family very seriously, so we are very pleased to have this national recognition of this vital feature of our work - and we are especially proud and happy that our children, parents, staff, governors and the providers from health and social care that we work with, all agree that we look after their wellbeing.

Thanks very much to Helen, and Go Newfield!
