School Council January 2020

Today we had our regular school council meeting. We discussed lots of things and the main item for discussion was about getting the chance to mix with our friends from other classes, We are always so busy in our own classes so we talked about lunchtime clubs and how this would be fun to do. We brought forward the proposal that we would like a karaoke and sporty lunch time club. Hopefully these will be organised in the very near future.

We also mentioned our interest in our buddy sessions where we get to work in classes with the younger students we all enjoy this and this is something we are keen to carry on with. School council is a chance for some of us being advocates for some of our other students, bringing their ideas to the meetng, so school lunches, resources and charity events were all mentioned.

We welcomed a new member to the school council from the primary department. Finley joined us and came up with some good ideas about what animals he would like in school, this was after the discussions about Baxter our lovely therapy dog. The students would like to see more animals in school.

After our hard work we enjoyed refreshments with each other.
