Curriculum - Treasures in the Garden

There have been some exciting curriculum activities going on this week.

S2 have started a new story called ‘Treasures in the garden’. They have been introduced to the characters and explored the sensory elements of the story using objects of reference and symbols to support their learning, vocabulary development and understanding and comprehension.

They have been having lots of fun too!

In the story – Jake and Holly go to look for their lost teddy in the garden and make some new friends along the way. They meet:

  • A wizard casting spells
  • A mermaid washing shells
  • Fairies dancing in the flower beds
  • Dragons having a tea party
  • Pirates digging for gold treasure

Everyone has enjoyed exploring the sensory elements of the story and taking part in some role play.
