Newfield Perfect Picnic in the Park - MOVE

Today we had another great Movement Opportunities Via Education - MOVE - session to help our children develop their physical skills.

The hall was filled with lots of lovely activities for pupils to explore including filling the picnic hamper and setting out the objects, building bug houses from twigs and leaves, collecting butterflies and playing ball games - all involving lots of standing, stretching, reaching, bending and pushing!

Mariah enjoyed riding the bike and Rayyaan loved the beanbag game where he practised begin and stretching.

Sabiha, Nafeesah and Ella practised standing up whilst they were playing with the tea set.

MOVE is all about children developing, refining and using their physical skills to take part in activities as independently as possible, so having lovely motivating activities really helps to engage them and… well, get them moving!
