Christmas Trips 2019

This week some lucky pupils have been having special seasonal trips to the cinema and pantomimes. We are very fortunate to have been donated some ticket s to see Cinderella at King George’s Hall by our good friends from the British Lions.

On Monday primary class C6 went along and had a lovely time, and today secondary class S4 had great fun attending the same brilliant pantomime at King George’s Hall.

The students loved being in the theatre and getting stuck in with shouting at the 2 ugly sisters called Blackburn and Darwen and cheering on Buttons and Cinderella.

They enjoyed their ice cream at the interval and got involved with some dance flossing at the end. Thanks very much to the Lions for providing the tickets for these trips.

A lovely Christmassy day out. Oh yes it was!

Also today, pupils from TG3 and a couple from S3 went to the Vue Cinemas in Preston to watch the ‘Last Christmas’ movie.

They really enjoyed the festive movie with plenty of Christmas songs to sing along to. There were laughter, tears and exciting moments that the pupils experienced in their luxury electric recliner chairs whilst munching on popcorn.

The pupils found that the whole experience was accessible and easy to enjoy.

Afterwards, the viewers gave the movie five stars and look forward to their next cinema encounter.
