Christmas Fair 2019

Today we opened up school to parents, carers, friends and families for our annual Christmas Fair. We were very pleased to have so many visitors in school including the Mayor and Mayoress of Blackburn.

The children have been busy making things to sell and there were stalls with gifts, cakes, tombolas, raffles and lots of games including one to ‘guess the name of the giant llama’! There was a very busy cafe where everyone could take a break, have a chat and enjoy some delicious snacks.

We were entertained by our musical friends who once again kindly came along to enhance the atmosphere with their fabulous brass band renditions of favourite Christmas songs.

No Christmas Fair is complete, without a very special guest, and we were delighted when Father Christmas was able to take a moment out of his very busy schedule to pay us a visit - the children all loved being able to visit him and tell him what they want for Christmas!

We all had a wonderful morning - thank you to everyone involved in making the day so successful and to all who attended. This is a major fundraiser for school, so we really appreciate the contributions made to enable us to raise extra money to enhance our provision for the children. Today we raised a massive £1793 for the school fund. This is the most we have ever raised!!!!

The RRSA also raised an additional £139 for the Kenyan orphanage that we support.

Thank you all and Merry Christmas!
