Makaton Signs of the Week - 04/11/19

Our children work with a wide range of professionals who help them in school and at home so it’s important that they understand who these people are and what is happening to them.

This week’s signs of the week are nurse and physiotherapist.

The sign physiotherapist is made up of 3 signs - ‘physio’ + ‘therapy’ + ‘person’

When preparing a child for physiotherapy you could sign the first part on the child’s arm to help them anticipate what is about to happen.
