Communication is very important to our pupils throughout school.
We have a communication board outside classes 1 and 2 sharing some of the strategies we use to support children in Newfield.
One of these strategies is Makaton signing and we have Makaton signs of the week which we are going to bring to you on the website each week.
This week’s signs link nicely to Halloween but are also useful vocabulary for some of our children to talk about feelings.
We have also included the bonus sign ‘ghost’ to get us all in the Halloween spirit so watch out for any ‘Scary Ghosts’ that you can all comment on!
