Welcome Back to School - Autumn 2019

After 2 days of staff preparation for the new school year, with our new head teacher Rik, today we were delighted to welcome back all of our lovely pupils from their summer holidays.

There was lots of news to catch up on in our new classes and some new pupils and staff to meet.

It was soon business as usual with pupils working on fun activities to settle them back into school!

In the photos you can see some art and craft work involving making your own scented play-dough. We had pupils designing a Mandela for the wall with a raised outline and tactile pieces, making a handmade coffee scented potatoe sculpture and making bubblegum scented playdough for a sculpture.

TG3 welcomed some new pupils today and they have had a lot of fun getting to know each other.

They made balloon sculptures in teams. Everybody worked together and had a lot of fun.

They had to be very careful that they didn’t pop!

Everyone was very happy to be back at Newfield and ready to do lots of learning and have lots of fun once again this year.

We look forward to welcoming you into school very soon.
