I have found a lovely little article in the news this week and thought that it would be nice to post, it shows how how understanding and helpful many people are in the community and this should be celebrated.
The article is about a teenager, working at a shoe shop. A young girl with Autism, who was in the shop with her mum, had a melt down due to sensory overload, something that can often affect our young people here at school. Her mum later praised the teen who sat with her daughter, gave her time and space and was able to talk to her about why her shoes may feel different and that it would be OK. His bosses also praised him for his compassion and reaction.
Read the article below, it will make you smile.
