Today pupils and staff from TG5 have headed off on their DofE expedition! Everyone is very excited - rucksacks are packed onto the bus, the menu has been planned and shopped for and we are all praying that the rain will stop for a day or so!
The pupils have been working hard on the bronze level award all year - volunteering at Queen’s Lodge residential home, preparing this trip and learning about being a citizen in modern Britain.
They will be walking routes around Brockholes Nature Reserve and then heading to Waddow Hall where they are cooking they own meals, playing games, sleeping overnight and having a camp fire.
We will be adding updates throughout today, this evening and tomorrow so come back and keep up with all the action!
