RRSA March 2019

This afternoon the steering group held their half termly meeting to discuss our work on Children’s Rights, pupils and staff were pleased to be joined by one of parent representatives, Peter.

We planned, prepared and shared our roles for our event later this week celebrating International School Meals Day where we will be raising awareness of where our food comes from and also raising some money for the charity ‘Marys Meals’ whose aim is to provide one good meal each day to children living in poor countries around the world - more on that later in the week!

We also talked about class charters, as well as our links with Seashell Trust and Chestnut Lodge who we plan to visit during the summer term.

Finally we watched the premiere of the film we have made explain how Newfield protects and promotes Children’s Rights - we all agreed it was really good and enjoyed seeing ourselves as film stars!

We would like to share the film with everyone, so that they understand the work we do as UNICEF ambassadors… so here it is below… enjoy!
