Fairtrade Fortnight

It’s Fairtrade Fortnight and here at Newfield we are learning all about what Fairtrade means, different types of Fairtrade products and where we can find them.

We have made mobiles and decorated the atrium with huge Fairtrade bananas and balloons!

Every day classes will be able to enjoy a Fairtrade Breaktime in either the Main school or school for Autism dining room. The kitchen staff have planned and prepared a display and Fairtrade snacks and drinks for children and staff to enjoy.

Today the first groups have been enjoying homemade banana bread and cupcakes.

Everyone has really enjoyed the cafe atmosphere and we all agree that things taste nicer when you know they are Fairtrade!

There will be more activities going on over the next two weeks so check back to see what we are getting up to soon!
