Fire Safety Awareness

Today class 3 had planned an exciting morning learning about fire safety including a visit from a fire engine!

Sadly there was no fire engine due to the weather conditions but they did have a lovely morning with Paul and Helen from Lancashire Fire Service.

They talked about what fire looked like and that it was hot and dangerous to touch. They used their noses to smell cubes of burning peat - none of us liked this smell!

They sorted things that we may find around our home into ‘safe’ and ‘not safe’ and we also learnt about what to do if we hear the fire alarm both in school and at home.
