Today our youngest children from Main School and the School for Autism held their annual Nativity - it was a lovely traditional production. There were angels, donkeys, kings, wise men, sheep, soldiers, and of course Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus. All of the children had been rehearsing the songs, dances and acting out of the story. The costumes were fantastic - and all of the children who use wheelchairs had their chairs decorated with props to enhance the effect!
Everyone was very well behaved and enjoyed taking part and our staff did a great job of supporting the children. There were lots of parents, friends and families who attended, as well as our governor Sara Barr Frost. We were also joined by our Occupational Therapist, Sam Golding, who is sadly leaving us - she was presented with gifts, cards and flowers from the children at the start of the performance.
We all really enjoyed watching the Nativity and sharing the true meaning of Christmas with the youngest members of our special Newfield family.
