Today we held our first meeting of this year - there were lots of new pupils and staff interested in joining us to promote Children’s Rights and the work of UNICEF. Some former members were able to talk about what we do and what our purpose is, and we were delighted to also be joined by a parent. We are planning lots of special events to spread the word and one of the first things we are going to do is commemorate the Centenary of the end of World War 1. We will be making sure that all classes have their charters on display and are thinking about what we all do to protect and promote the Rights of the Child.
