Blackburn’s Hiring Event

TG5 had an enjoyable and eventful day. They used the local Service 22 bus to travel into town for the careers event and then walk to Blackburn Cathedral. The place was heaving with students from many places and some familiar faces from various organisations, including Angela from Northern Train Services who had organised a train experience for us last year. It was great to have our students mingling with the other visitors, asking questions and they had behaved impeccably. After the event, we all had a meal at McDonalds where we were served by the helpful staff to ensure we got all our food at the same time. Once we all finished eating, we walked through the Mall into the bus station and caught a bus back. Mind you, after evaluating the day, some staff will need some extra training on how to depart on the correct floor when using the lift!!
