Here at Newfield we like to encourage our older pupils to develop their independence and resilience skills by working alongside a younger member of school for whom they can act as a role model or support with learning and playing. They go down to spend time in class with their buddy during the week and are also encouraged to sit together in assemblies and on special event days or say hello when they see each other around school. As you can see in the photo, the buddies build up lovely relationships and our older pupils enjoy the opportunity to show how capable and useful they can be!
