Today the RRSA Steering Group met to discuss lots of things happening in school. We were very pleased to be joined by parent Peter Rothwell and parent governor Louise Sumner at today’s meeting. We talked about the charity Love for Kenya, the school in a box initiative (collecting shoes) and we also showed the other steering group members our pen pals from Chesnut Lodge, who we are going to join at their school in Widnes for a day in June.
The students came up with ideas for more events in our summer term to help raise awareness of all children and young people’s rights .
It was also mentioned that our steering group members are looking forward to inviting people who live in Queens Lodge nursing home to come into school and join us sometime in the summer term.
