Good Friday on the Canal

Good Friday on the Canal

Today Nick has continued his trek along the Leeds-Liverpool canal and reports that it has been a bit sludgy under foot and hard going – we can see how wet the tow path is in the photo.
Hard as it is, he has today gone past the highest point lock now (below) – so it really is downhill all the way!

His travels also took him past the most northerly point (below).

So, with just under 32 miles left, it will take him another 2 days to reach the end.
Fingers crossed the Beast from the East doesn’t make an appearance as the forecasters tell us, or it will be a snowy end!

Keep going Nick – we know people are reading the blog and donating – thanks very much!
