This afternoon we visited Queens Lodge Residential Home to tell them all about Fairtrade.
We had planned to go last week in our “Fairtrade Fortnight” but we got snowed off!
Jordan, Adam, Matthew, Hajra, Heena, Atika and Sully were really confident talking about Fairtrade and why it was so important.
They told the residents about what we had been doing in school, the café and the tuck shop, and they had made a hamper to give them , which they were delighted with.
Helen from the kitchen had also made a delicious cake with Fairtrade ingredients. Our pupils gave it out to the residents and had a good old natter.
Everyone had a lovely time and Barbara one of the senior care staff said that she had been reading about Fairtrade because we were coming and as a result she had changed her tea bags!
