M&M Productions - The Railway Children

Today, we enjoyed watching M&M’s production of The Railway Children after a few snowfall days. It was wonderful to see a theatre production in our own school with lots of exciting scenes, colourful backdrops and lovely costumes. Everyone enjoyed the noise of the train and remembered the time when they went to a train station. The pupils laughed at silly incidents, like the time a man was waving his legs out of a box upside down and when the porter bumped into a box. They were also really intrigued by the squeaking sound of the teddy and other silly sounds. Pupils loved pointing and shouting in response to what the actors were asking the audience.

After the production, TG3,4&5 stayed behind for the workshop where they learnt about behind the scenes action and how it all works. The changing clothes demonstration was amazing as the actress changed in 3 seconds.

Thank you to M&M productions for the fabulous morning. and special thanks to the Happy Days Children’s Charity for funding the special event.
