Takeover Day Two

Today our site staff were taken over by Chris and Yasin who spent the morning with Nathan and Karl. Yasin was very thorough in what he did, helped change the bins with accuracy making sure everything was fitted correctly. He then carried around the bag of waste which we took to the outside stores and separated out the bins for recycling and to go into general waste. Chris also helped with the bins, and although didn’t like touching the dirty bins he put the clean bin bags in very efficiently, and was in fact quicker than the site staff doing it! Chris did really well also, from an energy saving point of view, making sure all lights were off in the unused rooms as well. Both were full of enthusiasm but at this point Chris needed to go back to class to carry on his daily routine. Next we started checking the first floor fire extinguishers with Yasin making sure all the white tags were on them and that they had been serviced recently and placed correctly. Following this we started setting up for dinner time in which Yasin helped set up tables and chairs in the hall. Rolling the tables out then clipping the tops down, putting the brakes on. Then he collected chairs and placed them accurately, working with the whole site team and dining staff to finish the set up. He then helped put away the swings and MOVE equipment that had been left out and helped move the wall into position ready for dinner.

What a busy morning and what an absolute pleasure it was to have these guys helping us out.
