Robertson Community Development Sensory Sessions

Today we had the first of our sessions designed by the Robertson community development worker Rachel Atkin who has been collaborating with Aimie to produce some sensory sessions about the building work for our pupils. Classes 3 and 6 took part in some exploration using their senses - it was just like being on a building site! All the children enjoyed the session in our 4D studio.

In the photo you can see Mariah kept her hi-vis jacket on for the whole session and enjoyed all the activities, she was particularly intrigued by the bricks and sand. Joshua loved the sound all the stones made rattling in the bucket. Maci enjoyed knocking down the tower of bricks. Adrees laughed at the stones rattling in the bucket and enjoyed us throwing the tubing on his tray. Muhammad enjoyed watching everyone laugh at the loud sound made by the bubble wrap popping when we jumped on it. Hassan laughed at all the loud noises and his favourite was the sound of the hard hats being banged together.

We are really looking forward to seeing Rachel again and experiencing the world of construction.
