RRSA Assessor Visit

Today we were delighted to have our level 2 re-assessment visit for the Rights Respecting School Award (RRSA). UNICEF Assessors Pat Peaker, who has visited before, and Paul Harris arrived early and did a learning walk, met the Steering Group, met with staff, parents and governors and spent some time looking at the evidence week have put together to show all of the lovely activities that we do in school to promote children’s rights. Once again they were very positive and very impressed with our fantastic pupils, staff and facilities - everyone was very welcoming and knowledgeable and they felt that we do very good work as a UNICEF ambassadors. They were interested to find out about our link schools and how we support them to respect rights. Pat and Paul weren’t able to tell us whether we have been successful in our quest for re-accreditation, so we will have to wait for the final report to find out - watch this space!
