We are delighted to announce that one of our teachers has this evening been awarded the ‘2017 Lifetime Achievement Award’ at the prestigious Lancashire Evening Telegraph Education Awards. Congratulations go to the lovely Linda Cowie! Linda has worked in school for 38 years and has been an inspiration to pupils and staff who all love her to bits. She has worked with our children with profound and multiple difficulties and made a huge difference to so many lives. Linda far right, our head Geoff and Linda’s longtime colleagues and friends Julie, Val and Margaret attended the awards ceremony along with Linda’s husband at Ewood Park and had a lovely evening. The whole Newfield family salutes you, Linda, and thanks you for the huge contribution that you have made. We will miss you enormously when you retire in the summer.
