Today we welcomed pupils from Avondale Primary, Darwen and chestnut Lodge, Widnes into school to spend time learning about UNICEF and children’s rights. They enjoyed presentations, Role play about whether people’s rights are upheld, craft activities and PE games about ‘Wants and Needs’ and time to relax in our 4D studio. Pupils from Chestnut Lodge then took part in a session with our Steering Group looking at similarities and differences between our schools - we made some really nice friends and exchanged emails so that we can keep in touch and have more visits. After lunch we played Boccia and then waved goodbye to our new friends - we hope they learnt lots about children’s Rights and we are planning to meet up again soon. Thanks to everyone involved in a very busy, action packed day!
