Today we are celebrating the end of another fantastic half term and getting ready for a weeks holiday with a visit from the ice cream van! Everyone has worked so hard, on lots of different things, as you will know if you read our blog regularly, so we decided that they had earned a treat - and with the beautiful tropical weather we are enjoying, what better way than an ice cream. The children have the opportunity to choose an ice cream or ice lolly and to communicate that to unfamiliar people - the staff in the van - using whichever method they can - speech, Makaton signing, use of symbols, gesture… as always we are making sure that no learning opportunity is missed! We hope you are enjoying the sunshine and wish you a relaxed holiday ready for all the excitement of the final half term of the year!
