Science Week: Animals and their Habitats

Today is the start of British Science Week so each day a different age phase will be looking at an area of Science. To start the week off our primary pupils have been learning about animals and habitats. We started the day by going into the hall to use the pods, we have explored different animal environments through messy sensory trays. We have also looked at life cycles by exploring props and decorating a butterfly and then we planted cress to learn about plants in the environment. The most exciting part of our animals day was meeting some animals. We met a guide dog and lots of different pets and exotic animals such as a barn owl, corn snake and tortoise. Thank you to Curious Critters for bring in so many lovely animals and the Guide Dog Association for bringing in their lovely guide dog.
