Multi Sensory Christmas Experience

This week all of the children have visited our very own winter wonderland upstairs in the 4D studio. The children have enjoyed climbing into the sledges and ringing their bells to follow Santa’s sleigh. We’ve had to dodge flying snowballs, water spray, ice and snow. The children enjoyed the responsibility of decorating the Christmas trees and exploring all the decorations (as we know not all parents allow the kids to do this important job at home). We made Pomanders using zesty oranges and prickly whole cloves which smelt delicious. Next we really invigorated our senses by tasting yummy Christmas mince pies and pungent cinnamon custard. The children gave great responses to the array of Christmassy smells on offer, marzipan being the most favoured and ground cloves the least preferred. Before leaving everyone enjoyed a Christmas sing song and dance followed by a calming showing of ‘We’re flying through the air’ from the famous animation ‘The Snowman’. What a sparkly, fun, tinselly, tasty time we had, getting us all in the magical mood for the Christmas. Jingle bells, Jingle bells, Jingle all the way…………………

Massive thanks to HLTAs Debbie and Aimie for organising our special experience.
